With a new month, it is time for part two of my massive director ranking. This month consists of numbers 106-97 as we break into the top 100. This section consists of multiple horror directors, which isn't super surprising as horror is a very divisive genre.
106. Wes Craven
Wes Craven is widely regarded as one of the great horror directors. He is most known for A Nightmare on Elm Street and The Hills Have Eyes, which are all classics of the genres, as well as Scream 1-4, which created the meta horror sub-genre. However, outside of those films, he has directed a lot of clunkers, which is why he is so low. His highest rated film is A Nightmare on Elm Street with a 94% on Rotten Tomatoes, a 7.4/10 on IMDB and a 3.7/5 on Letterboxd. I have seen 6 of his films, the four Scream films, and two Nightmare on Elm Street films that he did, with my favorite being Scream. My average score for his films is a 7.16/10, as I have only seen his better films. He has not gotten any Oscar nominations, but does get a cultural impact score of 2 for A Nightmare on Elm Street and Scream.

105. Sylvester Stallone
Sylvester Stallone is one of the actors turned directors to be included on this list. He has directed several films in some of his major franchises, such as Rocky 2-4, Rocky Balboa, and Rambo. He did not direct the original Rocky or First Blood. However, outside of his franchise niche, his films are not great, with one of his films, Stayin' Alive, getting the rare (dis)honor of having a 0% on Rotten Tomatoes. His highest rated film is tied between Rocky II and Rocky Balboa with respective scores of a 70% and 78% on Rotten Tomatoes, 7.3/10 and 7.1/10 on IMDB, and 3.8/5 and 3.5/5 on Letterboxd. I have seen 6 of his films, the Rocky films, Rambo, and The Expendables, and gave them an average score of 7.16/10. My favorite of his is Rocky II. He has not gotten any Oscar nominations for his directed films, but he does get a cultural impact score of 1 for the Rocky franchise.

104. Shawn Levy
Shawn Levy is an unknown name that is linked to several big stars and movies. He directed some Steve Martin films, Cheaper by the Dozen, The Pink Panther, multiple Ryan Reynolds films, The Adam Project, Free Guy, Deadpool, and Wolverine, and the entire Night at the Museum trilogy. He also directed several episodes of Stranger Things, which didn't impact this list but is still a fun fact. His highest rated film is Deadpool & Wolverine with a 78% percent on Rotten Tomatoes, a 7.5/10 on IMDB, and a 3.4/5 on Letterboxd. I have seen 7 of his films, including Cheaper By the Dozen, Night at the Museum, and Deadpool & Wolverine, and have given them an average score of 7/10. My favorite movie of his is Free Guy, which is a really underrated movie that more people should see. He has not gotten any Oscar Nominations but gets a cultural impact score of 1 for Night at the Museum. (Yes, Deadpool & Wolverine made over a billion dollars, but the characters and franchise were big before Shawn Levy got involved.)
Average Rotten Tomatoes: 48.3% Average IMDB: 6.28/10 Average Letterboxd: 2.93/5
Oscar Nominations: 0 Cultural Impact:1 Total Score: 181.66/330

103. Mark Webb
Mark Webb is a director that very good when he gets to do romantic comedy-type stories, take a look at 500 Days of Summer and the relationship aspect of The Amazing Spider-Man movies, but doesn't see as much success when he has to do other things, take a look at the other parts of the Spider-Man movies and Snow White. He is probably most known for 500 Days of Summer and his two Spider-Man movies. His highest rated film is 500 Days of Summer with a Rotten Tomatoes score of 86%, a 7.7/10 on IMDB, and 3.7/ out of 5 on Letterboxd. I have seen 3 of his movies, The Spider-Man films, and Snow White, and gave them an average score of 6/10. My favorite movie of his is The Amazing Spider-Man. He has not gotten any Oscar nominations, nor has he made any movies with real cultural impact. (Yes, he did Spider-Man, but Spider-Man was famous already, and the two movies he did were the weakest at the box office.

102. Joe Johnston
Joe Johnston was a bit of a higher profile in the late 90s, but hasn't done much that is super big. Some of his more famous films were Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, Jumanji, Jurassic Park 111. He also directed the MCU film, Captain America: The First Avenger. His highest rated film is October Sky, with a 91% on Rotten Tomatoes, a 7.8/10 on IMDb, and 3.7/5 on Letterboxd. I have seen 3 of these films, Jurassic Park 111, Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, and Captain America: The First Avenger, and gave them an average score of 6.5/10. My favorite movie of his is Captain America: The First Avenger. He has not gotten any Oscar nominations, nor has he made any movies with real cultural impact.

101. Osgood Perkins
Osgood Perkins is an up-and-coming director in the horror space. He has made some really interesting films, and I am always interested to see what he does next. His strength is creating a strong horror atmosphere, but his films are often criticized for their pacing and thin story, and he seems to be more popular with critics but also more divisive with audiences. Horror is a very divisive genre. His biggest film was probably Longlegs from 2024. That film got a lot of people talking. His highest rated film is Longlegs with a 86% on Rotten Tomatoes, a 6.6/10 on IMDB and a 3.3/5 on Letterboxd. I have only seen 1 of his films, The Monkey, and gave it a 7/10. He has not gotten any Oscar nominations, nor has he made any films with much cultural weight. Longlegs got people talking, but only in the film community, not in culture as a whole.
Average Rotten Tomatoes: 69.5% Average IMDB: 5.7/10 Average Letterboxd: 2.86/5
Oscar Nominations: 0 Cultural Impact:0 Total Score: 183.83/330
100. Scott Derrickson
Scott Derrickson is another strong name in the horror space. Some of his more popular horror films have been Sinister, Deliver Me From Evil, and The Black Phone. He also directed the MCU film Doctor Strange. His highest rated film is Doctor Strange with an 89% on Rotten Tomatoes, a 7.5/10 on IMDB and a 3.5/5 on Letterboxd. I have seen 4 of his films, Doctor Strange, The Gorge, and The Black Phone films giving them an average score of 7.5/10. My favorite of his is The Black Phone, which I think is a very underrated horror film that more people should check out. It is a more accessible horror film. He also has not gotten any Oscar nominations, nor has he made any films with a real cultural impact. Aside from Doctor Strange, his films are generally smaller but good.
Average Rotten Tomatoes: 58% Average IMDB: 6.56/10 Average Letterboxd: 3.01/5

99. Jon M Chu
Jon M. Chu has been a bigger name in the past year due to the huge success of the Wicked films. But outside of the weekend, there are several films that I was surprised to learn were made by him. Aside from Wicked, some of his more famous films include Now You See Me 2, Into the Heights, and Crazy Rich Asians. When you think about these movies together, you will see that he has a distinct style to his work. His films are also very broad in appeal and entertain a large audience group. His highest rated film is Wicked: Part 1 with an 88% on Rotten Tomatoes, a 7.3/10 on IMDB, and a 3.8/5 on Letterboxd. I have seen 4 of his films, the Wicked movies, Crazy Rich Asians, and Now You See Me 2, with my favorite being Wicked: Part 1. I gave his films an average score of 7.5/10. He didn't really find his footing until Crazy Rich Asians, which is why he is so low. Prior to that, he made several low-rated films.
He got a Best Picture nomination for Wicked: Part 1 and also got a cultural impact score of 1 for Wicked.
Average Rotten Tomatoes: 55.55% Average IMDb: 6.31/10 Average Letterboxd: 3.08/5

98. Paul Feig
Paul Feig is probably one of the bigger names on this part of the list and has been a decent success in the Comedy genre. Paul Feig has directed several well-known comedies, including Bridesmaids, The Heat, and Spy, all starring Melissa McCarthy. He also made the very divisive 2016 female Ghostbusters movie. He has also gotten into the suburban thriller space with films like Another Simple Favor and The Housemaid. He does have a bit of an interesting filmography, as these two genres don't usually go together, but somehow he pulls off both. His highest rated film is Spy with a 95% on Rotten Tomatoes, a 7/10 on IMDB and a 3.2/5 on Letterboxd. I have seen all of Paul Feig's movies and gave an average score of 6.5/10. My favorite of his is A Simple Favor. He has not been nominated for any Oscars, but gets a cultural impact score of 1 for Bridesmaids.

97. Guy Ritchie
Guy Ritchie is another director who puts out quite a few relatively well-known films. He has dabbled quite a bit in the crime/heist genre, but has also done several other genres as well. Guy Ritchie is best known for Snatch and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. He also directed the 2 Robert Downey Jr. Sherlock Holmes movies and the live-action Aladdin with Will Smith. His highest rated film is tied between Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch, with respective scores of 75% and 74% on Rotten Tomatoes, 8.1/10 and 8.2/10 on IMDB and 4/5 for both on Letterboxd. I have seen 6 of his movies, the 2 Sherlock Holmes films, Aladdin, The Covenant, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, and Fountain of Youth, and gave them an average score of 7/10. My favorite of his is Aladdin. He also has not gotten any Oscar nominations, nor has he made any films with a real cultural impact.
