Cocaine Bear

This weekend, Cocaine Bear was released in theaters. Cocaine Bear follows a group of civilians that encounter a bear high on cocaine after a drug dispatch goes wrong. After seeing the trailer and having a name like Cocaine Bear, I was sold on this movie. I figured it would be a dumb fun movie.

This movie did not disappoint. It delivered exactly what one would expect for a movie about a bear on cocaine. It was over the top and goofy and just a lot of fun to watch. The story itself is very simple as it follows various people into the forest where they encounter the bear and shenanigans ensue. It never really slows down at all and just jumps from one fun scene to the next. The characters are also all really fun. They may not be super notable or really grow all that much but they are fun to follow in this story. The movie delivers the bear mayhem and carnage that everyone was looking for in this movie. Finally, the movie delivers a lot of funny moments. There were multiple sequences in the film that made me laugh out loud. Overall, this was a really fun movie that achieves exactly what it is going for.

Of course with a movie like this, it is going to be ridiculous and there are going to be some issues. The film doesn't have much in terms of a plot. It is pretty much all over the place, shifting from character to character. Also like most movies like this, there are just too many characters to keep track of. This movie could be nitpicked to death. It's a stupid movie about a bear on cocaine and it kept me entertained.

In the end, this movie was a lot of fun. There isn't much to review or say about it. It is a movie about a bear on Cocaine. Don't think too hard about it.
